At The -able, I am proud to collaborate with talented craftsmen like Sasha. She has her own business in Kyiv, where she creates beautiful objects from recycled plastic with a vision to reduce waste and increase recycling of plastic in Ukraine ♻️🫶
Her companies name is “Anumo”, which means a 'call to action' in Ukrainian, which perfectly captures Sasha's commitment to both recycling and environmental protection. Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing war in Ukraine, Sasha is determined to continue her passion for design and sustainability 🌍
Before the conflict, Sasha had a strong team and many projects. Now, amid the destruction, she says: 'Now, while my country is partially in ruins, I am even more determined to stay and work in my studio to continue my dreams.' 🌙
Sasha actually initially fled Ukraine at the beginning of the war and was granted asylum in the Netherlands, but she missed her boyfriend (who, because he is a young man, is not allowed to leave Ukraine) and her homeland so much that she decided to move back, despite the great challenges in the country 🇺🇦.
By collaborating with artisans like Sasha, I want to highlight in The -able how big a difference companies can make by supporting people in conflict areas. It is not only an investment in their talent and products, but also in their hopes and dreams ❤️ .
I am so proud to work with Sasha and look forward to offering even more unique products we design together that help her make a living from her talent.
Right now you can get hold of her dishes yourself in our crowdfunding campaign at Coop Crowdfunding. If you work in a company that wants to support talented artisans in conflict areas and want specially made products for your employees' Christmas presents or to give to partners, then reach out - with Sasha at the helm, only your imagination sets the limits.
